Cattaneo & Stroud awarded grant to study trends in Medicare+Choice coverage |
|
C&S was awarded a grant from the
California HealthCare Foundation
to produce a series of studies over two years of trends in the coverage of Medicare+Choice beneficiaries
in California. These studies will focus on changes in plan choices, changes in costs and benefit levels, prescription drug coverage policies, and other matters affected beneficiaries.

October, 2001 - Trends and Analysis of Medicare Managed Care Plan Withdrawals in 2002
|
The first study focuses on managed care plan withdrawls in 2002. Managed care health plans have announced
areas where they will withdraw from offering Medicare+Choice options as of January 2002. Almost 84,000 Californians will be
affected—a substantial increase over the 57,000 affected last year. Yet nationwide the number of people affected by plan withdrawals
